After the nuclear disaster in Fukushima, Japan in March, 2011, German Chancellor (Angela) Merkel has decided to shut down 7 old nuclear reactors in Germany. India is also facing a lot of public resistance against installing new nuclear plant in one of its states. Although, we have sufficient nuclear fuel to generate electricity for the whole world, risk involved in further nuclear accidents cannot be avoided.
