The Latest Children’s Books That I Couldn’t Put Down
0 Comments | Posted by admin in Writing
I was searching for some new books for my kids when I came across one I just had to buy. We’ve read the classics and many of the popular books that are all the rage right now. But while looking through the latest children’s books to come out, I found one that I’ve never heard of before. Orange Down Under is the name of it.
I loved what I read about this book. It’s an adventure shared by a pig named Orange and a boy named Jes. The original writing style and the excellent content made it difficult to put the book down. I read the whole thing before I let my kids have it. I usually do, but this time it was because I wanted to finish it for my own pleasure. I felt like I had gone to Australia with these two fun characters. I felt like I had flown across the ocean with the sea creatures, and ridden on a road train, and watched didgeridoos being made, and helped solve the mystery facing the kangaroo family.
After reading Orange Down Under, I’m going to buy Orange in the Land of Lakes and Volcanoes, and then I’m going to watch for the next one to come out. There are going to be five in the series, The Orange Chronicles, and I can’t wait to collect them all.
